Things are gettin started Downtown…….BANG GALLERY!!!
Pop Lock Gallery , Dtladesigns, and Hold Up Art have teamed up to create BANG, a 10,000 square foot event space that focuses on displaying and engaging the Pop Urban Renaissance Movement within Los Angeles. Pop Lock is just two blocks away from the new Bang space, and currently focuses on Pop Renaissance Art, while Hold Up, a new Little Tokyo gallery, displays Pop Urban Art. After meeting about a month ago and seeing similarities in their aesthetics and motivations towards art, Pop Lock and Hold Up joined forces, and Bang was pushed into this world.
Bang’s soft opening will be May 13th, 2010 during DTLA’s monthly Artwalk (7-10pm), and will showcase various works by established and emerging LA-based artists, including David Flores, Lexie Gherke, Sonny Kay, Rabi, Codak, Charlie Cho, JAMES, Ryan Snow, Evanimal, Devin Liston, Faith Cavendish and more.
